Saskatoon International Furniture Wholesalers’ How to Balance Chairs and Tables

At Saskatoon International Furniture Wholesalers we know more about furniture than just selling it.  We also know how to maintain your new furniture to ensure it lasts a very long time.  In this week’s blog, Saskatoon International Furniture Wholesalers’ How to Balance Chairs and Tables, we are going to explain how to maintain your chairs and tables by keeping them balanced.

We have all experienced a wobbly table and/or chairs.  Sometimes you may have had the chairs and table for months, or even years, and all of sudden it is off balance.  This is caused by the bolts on your furniture becoming loose.  It happens over time and is very easy to fix.  If left unfixed, though, it can damage your furniture and shorten its life.  So you definitely want to fix it.  Better yet check your table and chairs every 3 to 6 months as part of the maintenance on your furniture.

Fixing Wobbly Chairs and Tables

  1. First get a wrench or the Allen key that came with your furniture.
  2. Put furniture on a flat surface.
  3. Put weight on the furniture or have a child sit on it.
  4. Tighten all the bolts by the legs of the chair or table.
  5. Finger tighten the bolts to ensure they are not over-tightened.
  6. Lastly check again in 3 to 6 months.

Once this is done you and your family can enjoy your furniture for years to come.  While it is easy to do little things like this to maintain your furniture people often don’t.  So try to remember to spend a little time a few times each year to keep your furniture in tip top shape.
