Quite simply a swim spa is what happens when you cross a pool with a hot tub. Swim spas were originally designed to be fitness pools but have grown in popularity among home owners and it easy to see why. These pools are built like hot tub in regards to the material used and the jetting system but they are large enough to allow people to swim “laps.” Swim spa owners get to enjoy the benefits of a hot tub and a pool all in one piece of equipment.
How Does a Swim Spa Work
As we already mentioned swim spas are basically an over-sized hot tub. The jets are not only good for providing a therapeutic massage but they also create a current. This current then makes it possible to swim. It is kind of like a treadmill but for swimming. What is truly great about a swim spas is you get to enjoy all the benefits of a hot tub plus you have an awesome fitness tool that is a lot of fun. And let’s face it, it is much easier to exercise when it is fun.
